This offseason around Major League Baseball has seen a couple of teams open their checkbooks to try to improve their clubs. The San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox, and Miami Marlins all have been very active in the free agent and trading markets. There is a small, but vocal group of St. Louis Cardinal fans who wonder why their club is not partaking in the spending spree. This group of fans has a member in the media on its side and he recently shared his opinion.
