Per Peter Gammons and other media reports the Cardinals have shown an interest in free agent pitcher Jon Lester. Now, granted, GM John Mozeliak is notorious for “kicking the tires” on just about every possible free agent/trade target so he has all the information necessary in case an unexpected opportunity arises.
