The Yankees also must settle on a hitting coach and a first base coach. They are interested in talking to Raul Ibanez about the hitting coach gig, and Dante Bichette, one of Joe Girardi’s best friends, and James Rowson loom as other potential candidates. There’s speculation that Rowson could work as an assistant hitting coach. Former Rookie of the Year Pat Listach, who was the Astros’ third base coach last year, could be a candidate for the first base coach job.
