Despite Roster-Rattling Injuries, Cardinals Exceeded Expectations In 2014

In so many ways, this wasn't the kind of season the Cardinals were supposed to have. They scored 164 fewer runs this season than last. Their batting average with runners in scoring position dropped from a historic .330 to .254. They finished last in the National League with 95 homers.
