It was not the outing Adam Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals hoped for as their ace exited in the 5th inning of their NLCS Game 1 loss to San Francisco, but as he addressed the more than 30 media members surrounding his locker afterwards, he was able to separate the good from the bad.
