St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Michael Wacha was aware before Game 5 that his role would be different–the right hander could be called upon earlier in the game rather being saved for extra innings. As it turned out, he was on the mound in the 9th inning and after allowing two runners to reach base, Wacha gave up the game-winning home run to Travis Ishikawa.
