Matt Adams, who missed a couple of games a week or so ago with a slight left oblique strain, is out of today's lineup with a similar injury, Matheny said.

After seeing his four-game hit streak come to an end yesterday, Matt Adams is not in the starting lineup for the St. Louis Cardinals this afternoon. The first baseman has been dealing with some tightness in his oblique and manager Mike Matheny said Adams did not look quite right at the plate last night.
