The circumstances are almost identical. Ned Yost manages a young, mostly homegrown team that hasn't reached the postseason in decades, just like he did in Milwaukee. A recent hot streak lifted Yost's Kansas City Royals into contention for the club's first playoff appearance since 1985, when George Brett, Bret Saberhagen and crew came back to beat St. Louis in a memorable World Series.
