Jacob Booden Becomes A Peoria Chief

There are promotions and then there are promotions. After tossing a scoreless ninth inning in State College’s 8-1 win against Auburn in the Class A Short Season New York-Penn League, former Bradley Baseball pitcher Jacob Booden got the call that he was being promoted to the St. Louis Cardinals Class A Midwest League affiliate this morning. That affiliate just so happens to be the Peoria Chiefs. When Booden toes the rubber in his new Peoria uniform, he will become the first Bradley Baseball player to play for the Chiefs since minor league baseball returned to our fair city in 1983.
