Yonny Hernandez, a 16-year-old Venezuelan shortstop, has signed with the Rangers. An undersized switch-hitter at 5-foot-7, 160 pounds, Hernandez has a patient hitting approach, tracks pitches well and has a quick stroke with minimal power.
