Bryan Bencosme, a 16-year-old Dominican shortstop, has signed with the Nationals for $400,000. At 6-foot-1, 160 pounds, Bencosme has been inconsistent at the plate but he’s shown some teams the ability to barrel up good fastballs from the right side with strong hands and doubles power.
