Joe Kelly will make his third start Friday since returning from disabled list. His most recent start was a seven-inning gem that saw him surrender one run on five hits while striking out four.

The Cardinals are going with the numbers in their lineup against Chicago’s Travis Wood today–kind of. Allen Craig, who is starting in right field, has a career batting average of .321 with 2 HRs and 3 RBIs against the lefty. And though a left-handed bat, Jon Jay has hit .400 (10-25) against Wood and will start in center over right-handed hitting Peter Bourjos (0-3).
