What a tremendous tribute to an all-time great on the 75th anniversary of one of the most famed speeches in this sport’s history. But Major League Baseball has taken this week not only to recognize Lou Gehrig for his on-field achievements, but also to bring attention to the cruel disease that cut his life short.
