Brendan Ryan Says Replacing Derek Jeter Late In Games Would Be 'Awkward'

Brendan Ryan started hearing the accolades in 2009. For the first time in his major-league career he was commanding ample playing time with the Cardinals. He started 95 games at shortstop and was playing behind a slew of groundball pitchers and there were plenty of opportunities for observers to notice his defensive prowess.
