Rising young stars, a pair of Rawlings Minor League Gold Glove Award winners, and a number of talented veterans highlight the Charlotte Knights Opening Day roster for the much anticipated inaugural 2014 season at BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte. The squad of 25 is headlined by 23-year-old third baseman Matt Davidson - the organization's number four prospect as rated by Baseball America. Davidson, a newcomer to the organization, hit 17 home runs last season and won the Triple-A All-Star Home Run Derby as a member of the Reno Aces (Arizona).
