St. Louis sports writers Rob Rains and Alvin Reid; along with former MLB players Bill Virdon and Jerry Lumpe will participate in the Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival in Marshfield, MO on Friday April 25th on a special panel celebrating Jackie Robinson’s breaking the color barrier in baseball–which he did 67 years ago this week. Both former players were in baseball during the time players from the Negro Leagues were coming into the major leagues.
