If he’s being honest, Carlos Beltran has no idea how Edward Mujica would have fared in the playoffs last year if he’d been allowed to throw more than 19 pitches over a pair of mop-up outings. But Beltran does know this: The St. Louis Cardinals never would have gotten to that point without him.
