I’m back on the beat after a few days off to get my life back in order after eight weeks on the road. And I rejoined just in time to experience some more snow — yes, snow — before winter (hopefully? mercifully? officially?) moves on. Fortunately, Milwaukee didn’t go the Minnesota roof-less route, so tonight’s game will be unaffected by whatever may be going on outside.

Yadier Molina will get his first game off this season when Tony Cruz replaces him to catch Lance Lynn tonight as the Cardinals start a three-game series with the red-hot Milwaukee Brewers, who have won nine straight.

As expected, Yadier Molina is not in the starting lineup for the St. Louis Cardinals tonight as they open a three-game series in Milwaukee. Though batting .500 in the midst of a six-game hit streak, Molina has been behind the plate for all twelve of the Cardinals games thus far in 2014.
