This is the fifth day that Cardinals have been in Cincinnati and the team is preparing for its second game. It’s been quite the change of pace for a group of players that had games almost daily for the last month. Add in the washed out exhibition game last Friday and the Cardinals have played just once since wrapping up Grapefruit League play on Thursday.

Cardinals manager Mike Matheny, trying to stack as many righthanders as possible against Cincinnati lefthander Tony Cingrani, has elevated shortstop Jhonny Peralta to the No. 2 spot in tonight's lineup for Game 2 of the season.
