When the New York Mets’ Curtis Granderson bounced a double over the left-field wall in the first inning off Michael Wacha on Sunday, and Wacha needed 30 pitches to get out of the inning, there was little reason to suspect that the Mets wouldn’t have another hit over the next six innings. Except that there’s even more young Cardinals pitching on the way.
