The hard part is the wait. Like so many other minor leaguers, prospect third baseman Patrick Wisdom reached spring training several weeks ago with a glove, a bat and a dream.

The St. Louis Cardinals and the Springfield Cardinals have announced the Preliminary Roster for the 2014 Springfield squad. The Cardinals 2014 Opening Day Roster will be finalized when Springfield starts the season at home this Thursday against the San Antonio Missions at 7:10pm.
