The St. Louis Cardinals have released right-handed reliever Brady Adamek (confirmed with him).
The 23-year old hurler was signed as a non-drafted free agent in January 2013. He pitched over three levels in the Cardinals system making stays at Short-Season Single-A State College, Single-A Peoria, and A-Advanced Palm Beach. Adamek made a combined 24 relief appearances posting a 1-1 record, 1.70 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and four saves. He allowed 28 hits, seven earned runs, 16 walks, hit five batters, threw four wild pitches, and struck 36 out over 37 innings.
He said he was honored to have pitched for the organization and appreciated the fan support.
