The Executive Committee of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF, for its acronym in English), a body chaired by Italian Riccardo Fraccari gave an ultimatum to the president of the Baseball Federation of Puerto Rico, Dr. José Quiles to defend their position to restrict the use of professional players at Double A ball and gave him 30 days to revoke this practice in the local top league, failing that failure to do so will be referred to as President to the Executive Committee of the IBAF to present cause why the Baseball Federation of Puerto Rico is not disaffiliated by the IBAF.
