Superstar second baseman Robinson Cano was on his way to Seattle for what sources described as "serious" talks with the Mariners that could well lead to one of the larger contracts in baseball history. A source suggested it was expected that a deal for about $225 million over nine years would be put on the table when he arrives, and the Mariners were said to be feeling pretty good about their chances.
