Earlier this week, Diamondbacks General Manager Kevin Towers was tossed a softball question about whether he’d be willing to give up his first-round pick in order to sign a restricted free agent. Or it seemed like a softball — Towers hadn’t been willing to do so in the past and it figured he wouldn’t this year, either.
