Shelby Miller will be in the rookie of the year discussion after going 15-9 with a 3.06 ERA. Only Adam Wainwright had a most consistent regular season among the Cardinals starting pitchers. But Miller has been by-passed for a start in the NLDS against the Pirates. Mike Matheny elected to give Lance Lynn the game 2 start instead of Miller, who appeared for only one inning of that game in a mop up role.
