Series Preview: Cardinals Vs. Mariners
The Cardinals and Mariners haven’t met since 2010 when the Cardinals won two of three games here. Adam Wainwright, who will pitch the opener of this series, pitched the first game of that June series, too, beating Seattle, 9-3. One of the hitters he faced was current Cardinals catcher Rob Johnson, whom Wainwright fanned three times that night. Historically, the Cardinals are 6-3 in interleague play against Seattle, winning five of six in St. Louis.
