Mike Blazek Player To Be Named Later In John Axford Trade

The St. Louis Cardinals confirmed this afternoon that they have agreed to send right-handed pitcher Michael Blazek to the Milwaukee Brewers as the player-to-be-named-later in their trade for right-handed reliever John Axford that was announced on Friday (August 30). Milwaukee had placed a waiver claim on Blazek who was 0-0 with a 6.97 ERA in 11 relief appearances for the Cardinals this season.
