Seth Maness, Kevin Siegrist Dominate In August
After a rough end to July, the Cardinals won 13 of their first 22 games in August. That success in no small part was due to the righthanded-lefthanded middle relief of Seth Maness and Kevin Siegrist, neither of whom allowed a run in that time covering 25 games and 25 1/3 innings. In that time, the duo gave up only 14 hits, 10 by Maness in his 13 innings.
