The Pirates were 32-21 against the NL Central before Thursday’s game with Milwaukee and have 22 of their final 29 games inside the division, playing only San Diego (four) and Texas (three) outside it. Pittsburgh was 43-23 at home, second only to Atlanta for the best home record in the majors.
