Hector Luna is seriously considering surgery because the pain in his right knee was becoming unbearable. He visited a number of hospitals in Japan and was told he could hold off on surgery and get pain-killers to help him through the pain. That would have been a viable option, except the pain had a tendency to come back much stronger after the pain-killers wore off.
