For Memphis Native Tim McCarver, Tuesday's All-Star Game His Final One

Tim McCarver had just returned to his hotel room from Wrigley Field when he called Friday afternoon, sharing those few minutes between talking to players on the field and watching an afternoon Cardinals-Cubs game on TV. He would call the next night’s game for Fox, and the Friday afternoon of in-person prep is part of his routine for the weekly Saturday role.
