Michael Wacha Goes For First Win, Rain, & Mets Permitting

If it's Wacha, it's probably raining. The Cardinals rookie who has had the lengthiest games of the seasons attached to his starts will go for his first win tonight at Citi Field in Queens, weather permitting. Already this afternoon a couple popup showers have settled over the ballpark next the former site of Shea Stadium. The infield is currently covered as I type this at 2:45 p.m. St. Louis time.
Cardinal Beat

The Cardinals open a three-game series tonight at Citi Field, where the tarp is coming off the field as I type. Looks like there’s a chance for scattered storms throughout the rest of the day, though it’s the Thursday forecast that is most concerning. If weather does become a concern tonight, I’ll provide updates on Twitter.
