June 13: Cardinals (42-23) @ Mets (24-36)

The weather forecast heading into today was not at all promising, though for the time being the tarp is off the field and the groundscrew is preparing as if there is going to be a game. The Cardinals are monitoring the forecast and if it’s a situation where the window of clear skies will be short, there is always the option of sending Joe Kelly to the mound to start. The last thing the Cardinals want to do is start Adam Wainwright and then see the skies open and the game delayed or possibly postponed.

Cardinals rookies Tyler Lyons and Michael Wacha are throwing tandem bullpen sessions as I type this and both are very much in play for the start Sunday against the Marlins.
