Jake Stone To Begin Play In Gulf Coast League
Stone watched the draft Saturday, received a call from the Cardinals Sunday, and left from his parents’ home in Charlottesville, Va. Monday for the journey south. He said he expected to sign a contract when he arrived in Florida and would begin playing for the Cardinals’ Rookie League team in the Gulf Coast League when it starts its season June 18.
