Carlos Beltran Nearly As Hot As Last Year
True to his spring training word, manager Mike Matheny has been giving 36-year-old right fielder Carlos Beltran more days off in hope of keeping Beltran fresher for the second half, which seemed to sap Beltran last year when he fought through a succession of injuries.
