Willie McGee Checking Out Springfield Cardinals
Willie McGee, an integral part of St. Louis’ great teams of the 1980s and beyond, is in town this series in his new role as a special assistant to general manager John Mozeliak. Look for a News-Leader story early in the week on McGee, who had 2,254 hits and stole 352 bases in 18 seasons from 1982 to 1999 — 13 of those years in St. Louis.
