Mike Matheny Looked Left For Second Game; David Freese Set For Games; Extra Bases
When Cardinals manager Mike Matheny and pitching coach Derek Lilliquist started working on the rotation for the opening weeks of the regular season they not only looked ahead for favorable assignments, they looked back into their own careers for suggestions.
