Pennsylvania native Matt Adams is in the lineup and expects to play in front of a sizable contingent of family and friends when the Cardinals close their rain-shortened series against the Pirates at 6:05 tonight (FSM).
The local folks at Slippery Rock University will get the opportunity to watch one of their own start tonight with Matt Adams back in the lineup. Though Adams grew up in central Pennsylvania, he spent his college days just north of Pittsburgh at Slippery Rock. He is the first player to make the Majors out of that Division II baseball program.
