The Chiefs placed first baseman David Washington on the suspended list. Manager Dann Bilardello said it is “for personal reasons and indefinitely.” To replace Washington on the roster, catcher Geoff Klein was assigned from high-A Palm Beach and will play some first base in addition to his catching duties.
