Edward Muijca's The Man (For Now)

Hail to The Chief: I was admittedly skeptical of Edward Mujica as a closer. He had an unimpressive track record in high-leverage situations, and a low conversion rate in his limited save opportunities. Mujica was acquired from Miami to be a seventh-inning handler. The Cardinals were aware of The Chief’s history and deemed it wise to keep him at a distance from those high-leverage flames. That’s the reason for my hesitance in endorsing Mujica as a closer.
