Shane Robinson, as expected, gets his first start of the season tonight. Manager Mike Matheny was hopeful of getting Robinson in the lineup earlier than game No. 14, but the fact that Jonathan Sanchez is just the second lefty starter the club has faced made that difficult. With Jon Jay sitting, Yadier Molina stands as the only Cardinals player left who has started every game.
And then there was one.
Catcher Yadier Molina is the only Cardinals player to be in the starting lineup for all 14 games, with the insertion tonight of righthanded-hittng Shane Robinson into center field to give lefthanded-hitting Jon Jay his first rest of the season. The Cardinals are facing Pittsburgh lefthander Jonathan Sanchez.
