The history of baseball is dotted with colorful characters and one does not have to travel too far to hear stories of one of the most colorful. Cross the county lines into Brown County and head to the river village of Higginsport, birthplace of one Harry Franklin Sallee. Most baseball purists would not recognize the name "Harry", but change that to "Slim" and we have a story.
