Increasing right elbow pain has forced Rafael Furcal to cease all baseball activity indefinitely and leaves the Cardinals with growing uncertainty about their shortstop situation just four weeks before Opening Day.
Rafael Furcal got dressed today, did some stretching, got some treatment and then went home for the day about 10 o’clock. His work, such as it was, had been completed.
