Jason Motte, Like Others Before Him, On The Mend

One of the scariest things about being a closer is how short your shelf life can be at the major-league level. You can be a guy who is capable of throwing his smoke ball in the upper 90s or lower 100s, but there is only so much torque that your elbow can withstand before the joint feels like it’s ready to explode.
