The Cardinals travel to Port St. Lucie today for the first of five spring games against the Mets. Almost all of the team’s starting position players made the trek, though Rafael Furcal and Allen Craig stayed behind. Lance Lynn, who is about 40 pounds lighter than he was when he last pitched in a game, will make his spring debut. Michael Wacha is scheduled to make his second appearance.
The Cardinals are throwing most of their regular lineup at the New York Mets today for an exhibition game. Only first baseman Allen Craig (right shoulder) and shortstop Rafael Furcal (right elbow), who are recovering from injuries, are absent and back in Jupiter, Fla.
