The St. Louis Cardinals placed pitcher Chris Carpenter on the 60-day disabled list due to continued problems in his throwing shoulder, the team said Friday.
The Cardinals have placed righty Chris Carpenter on the 60-day disabled list with the return of a nerve condition in his right shoulder that has made it impossible for him to pitch competitively this spring.
