Chris Carpenter Goes On 60-Day DL; Shelby Miller Takes Mound; The Adam Wainwright Wait; Carlos Martinez Still Absent; Extra Bases
The Cardinals placed starter Chris Carpenter on the 60-day disabled list Friday because of the nerve issues in his right shoulder that the club expects to keep him off the mound indefinitely and potentially for the entire season.
