Joel Piniero, Angels Undone By Eight-Run First
Fourteen Athletics came to the plate in the first inning in front of 26,115 on a sunny Sunday. By the time it finally ended on a line drive to right field with the bases loaded, the tote board showed eight runs, seven earned, all at the expense of Pineiro's battered ERA and bruised feelings.
