The Cardinals have waited a long time to have a pair of pitchers such as the one they currently have in their Minor League system. Then again, a lot of teams have to wait a long time to come across two pitching prospects such as Shelby Miller and Carlos Martinez.
Carlos Martinez, 19, and Shelby Miller,20, the Cardinals' top two pitching prospects, both worked scoreless innings for their respective teams today in the All-Star Futures game, which showcases top minor leaguers.
Grant Green said he felt a lot more comfortable at this year's Futures Game after playing in last year's prospect all-star matchup. And it showed.
